Chelsea Barracks Introduces £15.5 Million Residence Inspired by Chelsea’s Creative Heritage

London’s most coveted address Chelsea Barracks reveals an exceptional £15,500,000 residence located within 1 Five Fields Square, the latest residential release at the prestigious Belgravia development. Designed by Eric Parry Architects, the building forms part of an exclusive trilogy of homes and comprises just 28 residences and two penthouses, offering a rare sense of privacy and distinction. The residence is positioned to enjoy views across the beautifully landscaped Five Fields Square garden by Gustafson Porter + Bowman, bringing a tranquil green outlook to this prime central London setting.

1 Five Fields Square represents the next chapter in the evolution of Chelsea Barracks, following the success of earlier buildings. This three-bedroom residence has been designed by multi-award winning British interior design studio Albion Nord

Inspired by Chelsea’s artistic, literary and musical heritage, Albion Nord’s design scheme reflects its evolution from bohemian enclave to refined cultural destination. Playful yet grounded and distinctly contemporary, the residence is an elegant, welcoming home that reimagines Chelsea’s creative past as luxurious living for the future. The interior design is complemented by the building’s elegant architectural language, with a refined material palette of dark brick, stone window surrounds and cast aluminium balconies featuring nature-inspired detailing.

Albion Nord introduces an eclectic and unexpected mix of materials. Leather sits alongside heavy velvet and light linen; alpaca contrasts with pale driftwood and dark antique oak, while vintage glass, brass accents and delicate metal chain details on pendant lighting add further depth and texture.

Shape and form play an equally expressive role. At the heart of the living space sits a bespoke, oversized modular sofa and ottoman. Wrapped in pale linen and defined by generous curves, it invites you to linger and stay awhile. Behind it, an elegant, well-worn antique table, along with moody sculptures, quietly occupy the room’s edges.

The open-plan living and dining area is enveloped by a sumptuous dark green wool fabric, creating a cocooning sense of warmth and tactility. Bespoke joinery at the far end of the room conceals a sliding compartment that reveals a hidden bar, styled with original vinyl records, record players and a gramophone in a playful nod to Chelsea’s bohemian, music-loving past.

Heavy dark green velvet curtains frame the windows, ready to shut out the world and transform the room into a private, intimate retreat. The overall impression is confident, stylish and deeply personal, a home designed to be lived in, not just admired.

The principal bedroom suite introduces a softer, lighter palette. Wrapped in pale linen wallcovering, it features a bespoke oversized headboard with a gentle, youthful curve. A thick, pale-cream woven rug from Sacco softens the herringbone floor, while leather-bound lamps and studded bedside tables add a subtle touch of character.

Camilla Clarke, Creative Director and Founder of Albion Nord comments “For such a prestigious development in such a unique and historied location, we felt that the design needed to be bold, individual and luxurious, but also grounded and relevant to its surroundings.  Taking the balcony views over the new Five Fields Square gardens as a starting point, we incorporated lots of internal plants and greenery within the design, as well as our signature use of antiques throughout.  The connection between inside and outside, vintage antiques and new surroundings showcase the dynamic interplay between eras, materials, the past and the future.  This richly storied interior brings history, energy and beauty which are recurring themes throughout the iconic Chelsea Barracks development.”
